Old School House Living was born out of a love of all things for the home.

Following a career break and the renovation of two period houses, the owner Aileen, decided to take the plunge and do something she'd long dreamed of, that is, to restore a former school house near her home and open a shop selling everything from lamps to plants and candle sticks to coffee.

After spending 18 months gathering treasures and sourcing unique, special pieces and renovating the building, Aileen began opening the space in Summer 2022 and welcoming customers from near and far. With award winning Tipperary roasted Ponaire Coffee and locally baked treats on offer, Old School House Living is quickly becoming a shopping and lifestyle destination of choice. 

The Building

Many visitors to Old School House Living will know this space as the former girls' primary school and more recently as the study hall for boarders at the Presentation Convent, Ballingarry so it's a very special experience for people to walk through the doors after many years, to admire the beauty of an old, familiar building but to see it being used in a new and exciting way. With an area set aside for yoga, wellness, art classes and retreats, this beautiful building is once again giving back to the community in a very special way.
